FW – the would-be wizard behind the curtain – is yours truly, Felicia Waynesboro.
As a contributing writer, my work has appeared in such publications as the national magazine Victoria and Horizon, a Canadian humor magazine. I have been an editor/writer on the arts for the Cultural Council Foundation in New York City and a feature correspondent for a Pennsylvania newspaper. A recent six-year stint as a staff writer and columnist for Triple Cities Carousel, an upstate New York monthly, kept me covering arts and culture. My work also appears online and in the anthologies In Pieces: An Anthology of Fragmentary Writing and Hobbies: How 37 Fascinating Hobbies Were Started.
I am probably the least important actor in the IMDb (the Internet Movie Database), appearing in only one motion picture, an indie, in an embarrassing role. I had to write my own bio there.
For 8 years I taught Speech and Oral Interpretation of Literature at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts – the nation’s oldest drama school. My students there included Enrico Colantoni who recently had a large supporting role in the major motion picture A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood and has been a regular on such TV series as Veronica Mars, Bad Blood, and Just Shoot Me; the beauteous Joanna Going of numerous roles in film, together with television appearances in series such as Law & Order: SVU and Mad Men; and the decidedly “character” actor Max Casella, a frequent casting choice in movies and a regular on such TV series as The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and The Sopranos. And a few other notable actors – I think. I don’t remember. (Please get in touch with me if you were a student of mine whom I should be crowing about.)
